April 27, 2009 - The Avon Lady

Filming has commenced on the upcoming short horror film The Avon Lady, written and directed by Claudia Heinzl.  This thriller follows three friends who dare to explore an old town myth about an abandoned house that was once full of rabid birds, but is now a mystery as to what is still inside, if anything....
May 1, 2009 - BTK Band Returns!

The BTK Band will return to the stage this month with two shows at The Stonewall Inn, Thursday May 14th and May 21st - both at 9:30pm.  Only 5 bux!  Come check us out! 

We are also participating in a 26-part ongoing story headed up by Lee Berman, on the website uprightdown.com.  This is the newset form of open-source storytelling you'll see.  Check it out!

Our first live CD has ben recorded and is in post production, and will be available in the coming weeks.
March 8, 2009 - Cataract: Plays of the Unseen

Iraq (Blindness), by Mario Fratti

This night of one-acts just concluded at the Producer's Club.  Ian starred in both plays, the first about a writer struggling with a deadline for his novel with a little bit of help from his cat.  The second follows an Iraq war veteran returned home with blindness as he visits the family of of his best friend - a fallen soldier.  Written by Tony Award winner Mario Fratti (Nine), who was in attendance.  Read the review from by Martin Denton of nytheatre.com.
April 1, 2009 - Overcrowded to be aired on WNBC!

The full episode of Overcrowded will be aired late this month on NY Nonstop - WNBC's new cable channel all about NYC.  The Screening Room - a weekly program block dedicated to the independent producer, showcases the best of underground production in the New York region.  Channel numbers vary across the region, so find out yours here.

Preliminary reports suggest Overcrowded will be airing in about 4 weeks, but until then the trailer is up and running right here!

Director Dan Kowalski, Dan Conrad, Greg Vorob, and All Things Random Productions bring us this hilarious new comedy.  Ian plays Stephen who has just moved into a new apartment with his girlfriend, but is unprepared for what his crazy neighbors have in store.            
December 12, 2008 - Anna Christie - Metropolitan Playhouse

This wonderful production of Eugene O'Neill's Anna Christie just concluded it's five week run at the Metropolitan Playhouse on East 4th St.  Directed by Tony and Drama Desk Award Winner, Robert Kalfin - founder of the Chelsea Theatre Center, and starring Broadway's Sam Tsoutsouvas as Chris Christopherson.  Read the review from Paulanne Simmons of CurtainUp.
May 2, 2009 - Murder, She Blogged

Ian returns to the Decoy Squad as a cop in Murder, She Blogged, written and directed by Aldous Davidson.  A short comedy sketch following the famous senior citizen detective as she investigates a vicious murder.  You'll be surprised what happens in this episode!  Filming is done, and the video is set to be aired on Channel 101 soon!

January 21st, 2010 - Oasis.ny Theatre Group Performs "Pieces of a Playwright"

Pieces of a Playwright - 9 plays by Matthew Ethan Davis, and directed by Albery Insinnia, runs January 27th - 31st at the Gene Frankel Theatre.  9 plays, 13 actors, and Ian is seen in three of the pieces.  Laughter, love, and a bit of insanity wrap these stories together as they come alive on stage.  Some pieces in the show were written specifically for Oasis, and a few others were previous works.  We showcase them both.  Read about it here at Broadwayworld.com

January 18th, 2010 - The Avon Lady is Finished!

The Avon Lady, directed by Claudia Heinzl, has finished post-production and is officially in the can.  The audience is going to be blown away when it sees the vision that Claudia has brought to the screen.  Ian sees what horror really is, and you at home will too.  Festival release dates and general release dates to be announced soon.  You can see some of  Claudia's previous work on her film "In a World of My Own" here.


January 12th, 2010 - BTK Rocks Under St. Marks

The BTK Band started it's first of a year's worth of monthly shows at Under St. Marks - located at 94 St. Marks place, between 1st Avenue and Avenue A.  The BTK Band will be playing the second monday of every month for the duration of 2010.  Moth Grandslam Winner Adam Wade begins the evening with his comedy show at 7pm, the the BTK Band takes the stage at 9pm.  Come see us!  You can check out the rest of the Under St. Marks calendar here.

January 15th, 2010 - BTK Rock to Rock Philadelphia - More BTK Shows Announced!

The BTK Band will be appearing at the opening of an art exhibit at the old Tower Records on 4th st. and Lafayette February 2nd at 7pm.  Later the evening the BTK Band has been asked to join Penny;s Open Mic at Under St. Marks at 9pm.  Looks like both shows will be BTK Unplugged (don't worry - it will still rock your face off)

Saturday, February 6th, The BTK Band makes plays in New Jersey for the first time since recording our live record "An Evening with the BTK Band" (available on itunes).  Details on time and location to come soon.
